Updates for new Daylight Savings Time (DST) in the USA and Canada.

Updates DST, Locations and Localization database files to the most current version. This update only works on the Mac OS X version of sunPATH. sunPATH must be installed to use this update. This update does not modify the sunPATH application or any user saved locations.

This will update the following files:

Magnetic Declination Data

Update 17 December 2004 version 2.0

Magnetic Declination (Variance) data contains the angles between magnetic north and true north for various latitudes and longitudes. The Magnetic Declination changes over time. sunPATH uses data supplied by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. This data (World Magnetic Model) is updated every five years. The current data is valid for 2005 - 2009.

sunPATH computes a fairly accurate estimation of Magnetic Declination for dates outside of the data range.

Download the MagDec.hqx (128k) file, then decompress (MagDec.sitx) and follow the instructions in the Read Me file included with the download.
